Most of the below information is for customers who did not use Design 1:26 for their designs, but wish to use our printing services.  However, some information does apply to customers who chose Design 1:26 for their design needs.

What types of files does Design 1:26 accept?

We prefer .PDF and .JPG files. However, we accept .jpg, .eps, .tiff, and flattened .psd files. Please place your file within our templates prior to submitting your artwork to Design 1:26. If you need help adding your artwork to our templates, please feel free to contact us.

What if my document is a Microsoft Publisher (.pub), Microsoft Word (.doc), Microsoft Excel (.xls), or other formats - can you print those document types?

The short answer is no.  The reason we can't print those files are because they are not within our templates.  You should first convert your file by going to https://www.pdfonline.com/convert_pdf.asp to create a .pdf file.  There you can upload your file, enter your email address, and they will email you your file - converted into a .PDF!   We charge a $10 "print setup fee" to format your files correctly and have them correctly set up on the templates.

What are the document sizes for your products?

Business Cards Finished Size: 3.5" x 2". Business Cards Size With Bleed: 3.75" x 2.25".
4" x 6" Postcard Finished Size: 4" x 6". 4" x 6" Postcard Size With Bleed: 4.25" x 6.25".
5.5" x 8.5" Postcard Finished Size: 5.5" x 8.5". 5.5" x 8.5" Postcard Size With Bleed: 5.75" x 8.75".
8.5" x 11" Brochures Finished Size: 8.75" x 11.25". 8.5" x 11" Postcard Size With Bleed: 8.75" x 11.25".

Can I receive a proof prior to print?
We can provide hard proofs at the cost of $50 + shipping and will take 4-7 days to produce and ship. 
A free PDF proof is available only upon request.

What if the product is not what I expected it would be?

What you see on your monitor will not be exact to what you get on your print, this is the same with almost every printing company. We will not color match monitors.  If you would like a hard proof, contact us and we will send you one for a fee of $50.  If your product is not what you ordered, please contact us immediately at contact@design126.com to explain your issue with the product.

Please Note: We will reprint any job that is improperly cut, or has color drifting.  If the product has been damaged due to shipping, you must contact UPS to refund you of the cost. Design 1:26, or its holding company, is not responsible for items damaged during shipping.

If an issue arises with the printing of your product, please email us at and tell us a brief description of the printing defect, we will then rectify the problem with you. If your product has been printed and has ANY errors due to how your file was designed or prepared, you are responsible for the cost of reprinting and shipping.

How are your prices for print products so inexpensive, & should I worry about quality?

Design 1:26 depends on volume, which we receive by providing some of the best priced products printed with the best quality and widest selection of printed products!   At Design 1:26, we believe that businesses can really thrive by using printed products, so we make them affordable enough for any business to afford them.  We don't believe in sacrificing quality for cost.  That is why we have some of the highest quality paper stocks.  Feel free to contact us for a free sample.

How do I setup my files to print with Design 1:26?

All files should be designed using our templates.  We provide templates for all products we print.  All file artwork should be flattened (have no layers or transparencies) or converted to outlines (.eps files from Adobe Illustrator) WITHOUT the template showing the crop marks.  We charge a $10 print fee that covers this setup cost.

Can I use a pictures from the web for print?

Typically, No. Most web images are RGB and most likely 72 dpi or lower.  Please refer to our file specifications above in this FAQ for more about preparing your file.

Q & A about our printing service
Printing Turnaround?

Most printing projects take an average of 14 business days, or roughly 2 weeks.  This includes the time it takes to print your project and have it shipped to you.  You may expedite the process by choosing quicker shipping methods, and/or adding Express Printing to your order.  As a rule of thumb, we like to require 4 weeks from the date you need the item as a time frame for printing.  As stated above, rush orders are accepted, but we do not guarantee them arriving to you by their deadline.  If you have problems with your orders, they are reimbursed at 50% of their cost.  For pricing for express printing and express shipping, please contact us at 314-283-6760.
